Which is not surprising, as Paul, for one who was once a persecutor of believers, possessed a special relationship with the Lord, which inspired his various insights which were instrumental in making the church into what it is now. Ang Pabasang Kristiano ay isang bahagi ng malawak na larangan ng pagbawi ng kultura o cultural redemption para kay Hesus. Sa ministring ito, ang mga kaugalian, kultura at iba pang arte ng bayan na iniwasan, tinanggihan, at kadalasa’y niyurakan ng pagsulong ng ebanghelikong Kristianismo ay binabalikan, pinag-aaralan at ang maaari at marapat na linisin at gamitin ay binabawi (redeem) at iniaalay kay Hesus bilang handog at pahayag ng pagsamba.
Isang pangunahing sangkap ng cultural redemption ang pagsala ng tradisyon sa Biblia at ang pagtatalaga ng mga lalampas sa “salaan” para sa pagsambang Kristiano.
