God is boundless, timeless, beyond words or concepts or ideas, He is everything and so much more. And yet He loves us greatly to show us a side of Himself we can turn to and understand, that we might be able to know Him more and for our relationship with Him to grow. One such way is through the Bible, where it is filled with precious insights on what kind of God we have. Let us look at one such story, the story of Jonah, and see some of the innumerable characteristics our Lord has. May we be blessed with a deeper understanding of our great and awesome God through this message.

To be hurt is to be human. And when we think of it, many of those hurts we’ve suffered come from harsh words from other people. But God, in his infinite wisdom, provides us with ways not only to avoid being hurt, but also to heal from the wounds caused by hurtful, ugly, and insensitive words. Let’s look at what His Word says in our search to find peace when we find ourselves hurt by words.
